Creating a new icon style for Zendesk
With the ubiquity of emoji, there’s never been a more prevalent time for icons in marketing and design than there is now. Icons play an important role in creating visual shorthands for brands: they’re mini images that can be quickly scanned and understood. They make presentations more visually appealing and billboards quicker to read. And let’s be honest—they’re just more fun to look at. 🤡
Branding the help center of a company that makes help centers
When a company uses its own product, especially externally, it should probably be g̶o̶o̶d̶ the best. It needs to set the bar and be a shining example for what your customers could do. For example, Twitter should have the best tweets (let’s talk), Squarespace should have the best website (not bad), and Zendesk should have the best help center (keep reading).

A play on images
Puns are said to be the lowest form of humor. I personally find that insulting and completely puntrue. A pun can make you roll your eyes like you just did or make you laugh. But if a picture is worth 1,000 words, then surely a visual pun is 1,000 times better (or worse?). You be the judge. Just don’t punish me.
A pun exposes the double meaning of a word in an attempt to be playful or humorous. Like a word pun, a visual pun is a play on images that can have multiple meanings.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and you know what that means: Mariah Carey, Amazon Prime, and tech company holiday cards. Christmas is all business, baby.
